For the first time in Estonia – Race Horse Company, the internationally acclaimed Finnish contemporary circus ensemble will perform in Norde Concert Hall in Tallinn on 24 and 25 August with their most recent production SUPER SUNDAY.
Super Sunday, their latest production, smirks at death and has a pack of wild men charging further and fiercer than ever before. The wheel of death, the human catapult, the teeterboard… can you survive them if you have no faith? Super Sunday is a rollercoaster ride that’s off the tracks.
The company is known for their black brand of humour, boneheaded attitude and commitment to always giving it their all.
The company, established in 2008, has grown to be the leading contemporary circus ensemble in Finland and now has a packed schedule of performances in Europe, North-America, Russia and Australia. Performing in Estonia has lingered in their thoughts for a few years, but only now it has become reality.

The circus ensemble of Finnish “wild men” will be the headliner of the international contemporary circus and street art festival Circus Tree held in Tallinn, 24-29 August. The main organizer of the festival Anu Tähemaa says that the performance is suitable for every age, from schoolchildren to seniors, offering a completely novel experience to the Estonian audience. “I'd especially recommend this show to boys and young men, it will definitely be fascinating for them to see what a well-trained human body is capable of doing”, says Anu Tähemaa.
Contemporary circus is a genre of performing arts that combines different forms of art to tell a story and has similarities with dance, acrobatics, physics, chemistry, theater and music. The contemporary circus genre in Finland has developed rapidly over the past few years and brought extensive international recognition to the Finns. Race Horse Company is undoubtedly one of the greatest stars of Finnish circus art.
